On November 12, 2024, Acclaim Energy’s CEO joined more than 500 business leaders at the 11th Annual Jimmy Pappas Clay Shooting event in Houston, Texas. This cherished fundraiser, founded by John D. Elder III and three close friends of Jimmy Pappas, reflects his enduring commitment to helping those in need, particularly children fighting cancer.
The day kicked off with a catered lunch, setting the stage for a memorable afternoon of camaraderie and giving back. Participants enjoyed the annual clay shoot, silent auction, live auction, and an exciting awards ceremony for the top shooters.
The highlight of the event came when guests heard heartwarming personal stories from children whose lives have been transformed by the generosity of donors. Beneficiary organizations, including The Sunshine Kids, Hope BioSciences, and His Grace Foundation, have received vital support to continue their impactful work.
In 2023, the host committee raised over $320,000, and this year’s event aimed to match or exceed that incredible milestone, thanks to local sponsors and businesses like HEB, Mercuria Energy, Johnson Development, Ember Development and the 100 or so volunteers, who make the event annula possible. Acclaim Energy is honored to support such a meaningful cause, uniting businesses and individuals to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and their families.
